We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Senior Corporate Project Manager. This position will be located in Rolla, MO.
Summary:
This senior level PM role is accountable for three (3) primary responsibilities: Tracking progress of all corporate-level programs (Business Initiatives), directly managing large corporate-level projects, and acting as an advisor/mentor to other project managers located within individual business functions. Planning, executing, and closing projects within scope, on time, and within budget, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals will be critical. This role also involves working closely with various project teams, resources, and managing stakeholder communication to deliver successful outcomes. He/she must proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage changes in scope, and ensure project and /or program deliverables meet quality standards. Additionally, they will report on progress and continuously drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the strategic direction of large, corporate-level, high-stakes projects that are critical to the organization’s success and growth.
- Working closely with the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT), help track and manage progress on corporate-level programs (Business Initiatives) that have been identified each fiscal year.
- Through advisement/mentoring, provide guidance to project managers throughout the enterprise related to developing frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to elevate the organization’s project management maturity.
- Act as a key advisor to the corporate leadership team and other management, aligning project outcomes with business objectives and organizational strategy through high-level decision-making.
- Oversee cross-functional alignment on global or multi-regional projects.
- Drive innovation in project management practices by introducing new tools, methodologies, and trends to enhance the company’s project delivery capabilities.
- At times, represent the organization at industry conferences, workshops, and events, building the company’s reputation and influence within the project management field.
- Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize project management processes and performance.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring that the project meets customer expectations for quality, timelines, and deliverables.
- Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and successful collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans, proactively identifying potential risks and taking corrective actions to mitigate their impact on project timelines and outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders, engaging in high-level discussions and negotiations to ensure the project aligns with business priorities and client expectations.
- Manage project scope, including handling change requests and approvals, ensuring that changes are properly assessed and incorporated without derailing timelines or budgets.
- Develop and present detailed executive reports, offering high-level summaries, key risks, and financial forecasts to keep stakeholders informed and ensure transparency.
- Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules by working closely with stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are clearly defined and documented, and risks are identified and proactively addressed. Manage small projects and portions of larger projects.
- Facilitate seamless communication between project teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure alignment on project objectives, scope, and expectations, while keeping all parties informed of progress, issues, and changes in real-time.
- Track and manage project tasks, resources, and deliverables, taking ownership of specific aspects of the project and ensuring that deadlines are met, and quality standards are maintained through careful coordination and oversight.
- Monitor project progress and performance by preparing detailed status reports that track progress against the schedule, highlight potential risks or delays, and provide updates on mitigation strategies and any deviations from the plan.
- Organize and lead regular project meetings, documenting action items, ensuring follow-up on key decisions, and managing project documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, and project documentation repositories.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements, focusing on eliminating waste, reducing inefficiencies, and streamlining project workflows to ensure optimal use of resources and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvements within project workflows, systems, and applications, focusing on enhancing communication, collaboration, and overall project execution through innovation and better tools.
- Ensure strict adherence to change management and configuration management protocols, ensuring that all project changes are documented, reviewed, and approved in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Education & Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related discipline and 8+ years related experience or
- Master’s degree in related discipline and 6+ years related experience or
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience.
