We are looking for an experienced and customer service-oriented Data Analyst to join our Information Technology team. The Data Analyst’s role is to design data modeling/analysis services used to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information that enhance business processes. This individual is also responsible for assisting in building, deploying, and maintaining data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table creation.
This individual is also expected to take a lead in preventing data quality issues by developing and monitoring data quality metrics to provide feedback to business units. This person will also create and provide training to facilitate this goal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform PC, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation software products.
- Field incoming help requests from end users via HelpDesk software, telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.
- Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.
- Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring desktop operations.
- Maintain inventory list of all end-user workstations.
- If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Create new users and modify existing user administration
- Provide end users with exceptional internal customer service support in hardware, software, VOIP telephone, copiers, etc.
EDUCATION - College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or statistics, and/or 2 years of equivalent work experience required.
- Certifications in Microsoft Fabric (DP-600, DP-700) and Power BI (PL-300) preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.- Strong understanding of data models, structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data modeling tools such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Strong familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification, and forecasting.
- Working technical experience with relational database servers, including Microsoft SQL.
- Direct experience with data management techniques.
- Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
- Involvement in inter-departmental projects and experience communicating with various stakeholders.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Sitting for extended periods of time.

- Extended visual use of a computer screen.

Salary Range: $122,573.13 - $135,000.00
