Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction materials testing projects from initiation to completion. Your primary goal is to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead project teams, coordinate activities, and communicate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Your expertise in construction management, leadership, and problem-solving will be crucial to your success in this role.
This position also defines, plans, and delivers of complex programs that require cross-functional collaboration and management of inter-dependencies between a group of projects and/or related activities within the constraint of scope, quality, time and budget. Includes the management of a group of internal and/or matrixed employees and contractors that serve on the program(s) to deliver solutions for the business. All of this takes place within the framework of achieving the company's goals and vision.

- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Define project scope and objectives. Create and maintain a project timeline.
- Estimate project costs, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Build and lead project teams, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Provide progress reports and address issues promptly internally as well as externally.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Implement safety protocols and regulations, conduct inspections, and respond to safety incidents.
- Review and negotiate contracts with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Monitor contract compliance and resolve disputes.
- Actively market AET services to new and existing business contacts.
- Actively participate in professional organizations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic growth plans for department.
- Monitor project progress against the schedule, adjust plans as needed, and coordinate activities to minimize delays.
- Obtain necessary permits, ensure compliance with regulations, and address environmental and zoning issues.
- Evaluate and approve change orders, manage changes to project scope and budget, and minimize disruptions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, generate reports on project progress, costs, and issues, and keep records for legal and audit purposes.
- Coordinate project closeout activities, ensure final inspections and approvals are completed, and facilitate the handover to the client or owner.
- As applicable, provide engineering or technical expertise for assigned projects. Technical role will vary according to level of technical expertise and experience.
- Coordinate with other AET staff with the ultimate goal of increasing efficiency, productivity and communication.
- Represent AET by presenting ideas, solutions, and innovative advancements to clients, peer groups, public audiences, and regulatory agencies and in professional publications.
- Ability to be forward-thinking with respect to technologies, practices, policies, and other areas in order to promote and advance the company.to anticipate, recognize, and manage risk/liability.
- Thorough understanding of project contracts and commitments to be satisfied by AET’s work scope.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field or an equivalent amount of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an applicable degree.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Maintain compliance with DOT driver regulations if required for position.
- Maintain appropriate physicals if required for position.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to present ideas to large groups in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people, work effectively within project teams, resolve issues and problems in a constructive manner, and work independently in the field.
- Experience using personal computer software, especially Microsoft Office. ERP experience required.
- Demonstrated skill in cultivating and managing client and internal relationships to foster a positive working environment, to develop strong teamwork, and to resolve issues and problems in a positive manner.

Preferred Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to develop and implement creative/innovative solutions to a wide range of problems.
- Willingness to travel.
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. On occasion, this position will be required to operate in the Maintenance Hangar.
