Job Title: Senior Accountant, Revenue
Department: Finance Shared Services
Location: Trinidad and Tobago
Reports To: Director of Revenue and Treasury

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant, Revenue is responsible for overseeing the revenue accounting, recognition, and assurance processes within the Finance Shared Services organization. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and optimization of revenue streams within each reporting entity of One Communication. The Senior Accountant, Revenue collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Billing, Commercial, and Financial Planning & Analysis, to drive revenue growth and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and other relevant accounting standards.
Oversee daily posting of customer deposits (cash, checks ACH, wire transfers etc) to appropriate accounts.
Manage a team of Revenue Accountants and Cash Application Specialists.
Lead revenue assurance initiatives to identify and mitigate revenue leakage across billing, pricing, and interconnect processes.
Collaborate with the Billing and IT teams to ensure accurate invoicing and timely revenue realization.
Manage the reconciliation of revenue accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
Develop and maintain policies and controls to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of revenue reporting.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including revenue accruals and financial statement preparation.
Review with commercial to analyze pricing, contract terms, and their impact on revenue.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements related to revenue streams.
Implement automation and process improvements to streamline revenue-related workflows.

Qualifications & Experience:

Audit background in a Big Four practice is a plus.
Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA) is required.
5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role within the telecommunications industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles.
Experience with revenue assurance methodologies and best practices.
Proficiency in financial systems (NetSuite) and revenue management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience working in a shared services environment is an advantage.
Lead and develop a team of six finance professionals.

Employment Type:
