Detailed Description:
In this role, you will work closely with project managers and other team members across disciplines to execute work on a variety of engineering projects with a focus on large diameter pipeline planning, design and construction. Specific duties may include the following:
- Perform engineering work with the various civil, mechanical, electrical, structural and process engineering groups
- Participate in planning and/or designing a major engineering project and coordinate special planning, economic, and engineering studies.
- Work on engineering designs preparing reports, construction plans, specifications, calculations, equipment selection, and cost estimates for various projects
- Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing
- Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
- Assist with studies, field testing and alternative analysis
- Data collection, manipulation, analysis, and documentation
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (drafters, designers, and other engineers)
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and designers
- Participate in business development pursuits by supporting internal client service teams
- Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings
- Serve as Engineer of Record overseeing and sealing design drawings
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Professional registered engineer in your home state with ability to obtain registration in other states in a timely manner is also required
- Minimum six years professional experience in the design of large diameter water and wastewater pipelines and storage
- Should be versatile and interested in working on a variety projects supporting Engineering Services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents
- Excellent technical writing skills required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Teams, Project, Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Proficiency in Bentley and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D preferred
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location B: $85,000 - 116,000
