Success in this role means becoming a go-to resource for regulator and flow control applications, supporting sales growth, developing customer trust, and helping teams confidently deliver the right solutions to meet customer needs. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, consultative selling skills, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Hiring Range: (Exempt)
The hiring range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 annually, plus biannual profit-sharing opportunities. This represents the range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including internal equity, geographic location, skills, qualifications, experience, and the specific requirements of the role.

What you'll be doing:

Serve as a technical expert for regulator products and related flow control solutions, including steam, tank, and control valve applications.

Partner with Emerson, Caltrol Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, Inside Sales, suppliers, and service teams to grow business and support customer needs.

Help develop technical solutions for customers by evaluating applications, understanding challenges, and recommending value-added solutions.

Support assigned regulator accounts and initiatives by providing product expertise, training, problem resolution, and sales support.

Collaborate with Mechanical Service Sales SMEs when opportunities include a service component.

Provide internal and external training to increase knowledge of Emerson solutions and strengthen overall technical capability.

Assist with Fisher valve sales opportunities by providing subject matter expertise when needed.
What we’re looking for:
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical sales experience with a documented background in pressure management, regulator products, and related services.
- Ability to establish and maintain value-based customer relationships.
- Ability to manage special assignments and meet demanding customer deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year engineering degree preferred, or significant related product sales or pressure protection industry experience.
- Demonstrated interest and aptitude for developing technical and mechanical knowledge.
- Experience supporting customers and industries such as refining, oil and gas, power, food and beverage, water, biotech, and other process industries.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to travel to customer and industrial sites, move throughout office and field environments, communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The successful candidate must be able to wear required PPE and safely work in industrial environments while supporting customers, training initiatives, and business development activities.
Travel:
This role is customer-facing and relationship-driven, requiring travel throughout Caltrol's territory to support customers, partner with Account Managers, provide training, participate in sales calls, and develop growth opportunities. Travel may include visits to customer sites, Caltrol offices, service centers, supplier locations, and industry events.
