TRAVELING CONCRETE AND SOIL FIELD TECHNICIAN

$1000 sign on bonus paid on first paycheck. Weekly pay and a generous per diem. Salary from $21.00+ per hour.

AET’s Construction Materials Testing Team is looking for individuals to provide on-site soil inspection and testing, concrete field, and laboratory testing, as well as other services during construction of wind farms. We currently have several openings for Technicians. Tower climbing is not part of this specific job.
This is a fully remote job with a typical duration of 3-9 months (depending on project scope) before moving onto the next project. This is a remote position, housing and food costs are covered with a per diem.

Concrete and Soil Field Technician Job responsibilities:

Perform soil and concrete testing on slump, cylinder casting, cylinder de-molding, compression tests, soil inspections and testing, excavation observations, proof rolling observations, nuclear density testing, dynamic cone penetrometer testing, static cone penetrometer testing and laboratory Proctors and Gradations.
Prepare daily reports on observation activities.
Work with project team to ensure client specifications are accurate.
Follow safety rules and company policies and procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of construction materials testing required.
ACI Field Technician Certification required.
Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required.
Ability to travel 95% of the work year required.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather required.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. required.
Able to work long hours and weekends as projects require.
Concrete and Soil testing experience preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office preferred.
ICC Inspector preferred.
