Full-Stack Developer

Primary purpose: Design and implement microservice architectures and event-driven systems. Support internal and client-facing engineering projects. Use .NET and Java technologies for front-end and back-end development.

A successful candidate will:

Design, code, test, and debug complex software applications; leverage various languages and tools; and adhere to best practices and architectural principles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop front-end and back-end components.
Implement event-driven systems for real-time communication and responsiveness.
Use Git repository or other version-control systems to manage codebases.
Deploy and manage applications on Cloud platforms (primarily Azure) for optimal scalability and reliability.
Stay up-to-date on technologies and best practices.
Analyze complex challenges and derive effective solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum environment.
Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Develop new features and functionalities that align with stakeholder needs and business goals.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
A minimum of nine (9) years of experience in software development with a focus on full-stack .NET and Java development
Proficiency in programming languages (particularly Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, and C++) and frameworks for developing applications (such as Spring Boot, .NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, and Bootstrap)
Experience building event-driven systems and familiarity with messaging protocols and frameworks (such as Kafka and RabbitMQ)
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (such as SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB)
Familiarity with Cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
Proficiency in microservice architecture design and implementation
Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
Hands-on experience with Git repositories or other version-control systems
Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools
Ability to successfully complete a federal Position of Public Trust background investigation

Preferred qualifications:

Extensive experience with public-health reporting integration, healthcare IT data systems, and data exchange between organizations
Knowledge of HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), including FHIR RESTful API
Knowledge of Clinical Document Architecture (CDA)
Experience with AWS or Google Cloud
Familiarity with FHIR profiling and the publishing process for FHIR implementation guides
Experience with HAPI FHIR libraries and/or the HAPI FHIR JPA Server
Relevant certifications in Cloud technologies, microservices, or Agile methodologies
