Combat System Test Engineer

Primary responsibilities include supporting the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Test & Evaluation (T&E) organization as part of the Joint Integrated Test Team (JITT). The Team implements and executes an enterprise Combat System (CS) T&E vision which requires coordination with all test organizations (Government and Industry), System Engineering (SE), Land Based Test Sites (LBTS), shipboard (pier side and at-sea) across multiple internal, external, and academia organizations. In addition, it oversees new/modified requirements. review/assessment, test planning, test procedure evaluation (as required), participation with targeted test execution, test reporting, and assessing SSDS T&E projects on developmental and as required on legacy builds.
Responsibilities:
- Support all SSDS T&E entities towards an Integrated Test approach utilizing common methodologies and tools.
- Coordinate between all entities to include, but not limited to, Program Offices, CSEA (Combat System engineer Agents), Warfare Centers, Industry, Academia, and our Warfighters.
- Support the development of engineering assessments to capture/leverage all developmental opportunities to help reduce T&E duplication.
- Identify and report blockers, resource shortages and/or conflicts that prevent test progress.
- Track CSEA, PARM (Participating Acquisition Resource Managers) and, Government Trouble Reports (TRs) to support program milestone event, testing planning, post event analysis, performance assessment.
- Identify and track T&E related risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with T&E community, to include representative organizations for development and maintenance of applicable Integrated Test Plans.
- Attend project Milestone Reviews/Meeting and present JITT T&E status as required.
- Review and provide feedback for all applicable deliverables.
- Provide T&E Coordination at SIL System Integration Labs), and Land Based Test Sites (LBTS).
Requirements:
- United States Citizenship
- Minimum of five (5) years of Test and Evaluation experience in tactical systems
- Experienced in utilizing common test and evaluation methodologies and tools.
- Team-oriented, yet self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Able to present to large group of industry and Governmental leaders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of UNIX and Windows-based platforms.
- Experience with automated testing tools and methods
- Experience using Jira to document and track test and evaluation findings.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required
Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is [$95,000 - $125,000] (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
