As an Architect for the Education Business Unit, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions. Noted as an Emerging Professional Friendly firm by the AIA, this role provides immense opportunities to learn and strengthen skills, lead, and mentor team members with the development and design of projects.
In this role, you will work directly with Jeremy Wiesen, Architecture Practice Group Leader, Sue Peterson, Education Strategy Specialist and Kevin Bills, Education Business Unit Leader. You will also collaborate with a dedicated team of project managers, architects, engineers, and business development specialists that support the Education Business Unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Engage with school district stakeholders, including educators, students, and community members, to ensure the design reflects the educational needs and community values
- Assist school districts in planning and promoting school bond referendums to secure funding for educational facility projects
- Serve as a mentor and leader that demonstrates a high degree of professionalism
- Create detailed designs and drawings for new school buildings or renovations that meet educational standards and support a conducive learning environment
- Manage all phases of the project, from initial concept through construction and regulatory compliance
- Other duties as assigned or instructed
Regardless of your office, you will assist in winning and executing work within the Education Business Unit throughout the entire ISG footprint. Because of this, travel may be necessary at times.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited architecture program, or equivalent experience
- Licensed to practice architecture
- Ability to connect and promote ISG’s solutions to clients
- Ability to communicate ideas empathetically and visually through both written and verbal communications
- Ability to represent ISG and clients in public forums
- Familiarity in Revit, Adobe Suite and Sketchup computer software packages
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, participate with a variety of team members on different projects at varying levels of development
