Job Summary: As a Civil Engineer I in the Oil and Gas Division, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and execution of engineering projects within the oil and gas sector. The position will be focused on supporting oil and gas clients, specifically site grading design, storm water analysis, access road design and associated tasks for planning, permitting, and construction of these sites. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and design of oil and gas infrastructure projects, including well pads, access roads, and storm water facilities serving oil and gas wells, pipelines, storage facilities, compressor sites and processing plants.
- Conduct site evaluations and assessments to determine project feasibility and requirements.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve engineering issues and optimize project outcomes.
- Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create detailed designs and models.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on progress and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- EIT certification.
- Familiarity with industry software and tools, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to oil and gas engineering.

Basic understanding of relevant environmental and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.

Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.

Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous internship or work experience related to site survey, mapping, civil construction, or site design.
- Knowledge of the Public Land Survey System and section breakdowns
Work Environment: This role may require occasional travel to project sites and the ability to work both in an office setting and in the field.

Hours and Travel:
This position requires the individual work 40 hours per week with 70% of time spent in the office and 30% out of the office.
