TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST
Reports to: Director, Talent Optimization

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in embodying our culture by tirelessly attracting top talent through comprehensive recruiting efforts. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and department leaders, developing and executing strategies to source, engage, and secure the best candidates in a highly competitive market by leveraging marketing, social media and AI.
Your role will involve full-cycle recruiting, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. You will craft innovative job postings, pre-screen candidates, and guide hiring managers through the selection process using various assessment tools. You may conduct interviews and evaluate candidates for open positions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, embracing an ownership mindset and delivering results under minimal supervision and tight deadlines.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Creatively identify, source, and engage potential candidates using innovative strategies through the effective of use of marketing, social media, and AI.
- Pre-screen, interview, and assess candidates' skills, experience, and fit for the role.
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, tailor the hiring process, and develop recruitment strategies, identify potential challenges and clarify expectations.
- Coordinate and schedule recruiting activities, interviews, and meetings within hiring managers and other stakeholders, adapting to changing priorities.
- Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Administer pre- and post-hire assessments.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential candidates to maintain a strong talent pipeline and build our bench.
- Source and attract candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, college partnerships, and employee referrals.
- Monitor and optimize recruitment efforts, ensuring a steady flow of candidates.
- Champion an exceptional candidate experience with timely and effective communication.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on recruitment status through meetings, emails, and reports.
- Share best practices with peers to enhance overall recruiting effectiveness.
- Write and maintain job descriptions.
- Handle background checks, reference checks, and follow-up documentation.
- Assist with the negotiation and extension of job offers
- Facilitate post-hire and pre-onboarding communication and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Support Talent Optimization and People Success projects.
- Align with company goals, mission, vision, and core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, with expertise in recruiting strategy, applicant tracking systems, and sourcing techniques preferred
- Bachelors degree in business, human resources, marketing, management preferred
- High level of professionalism and proven ability to handle confidential information
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes, candidate sourcing, and interviewing techniques preferred
- Strong focus on goal achievement, relationship building, and resilience
- Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment, managing tight deadlines
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
- Sales-minded with a "get it done" mentality
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with diverse personalities, including leaders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage detail-oriented projects with accuracy
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This role is based in a typical office environment, requiring 8-10 hours of daily computer and phone work.
- Must be able to travel locally by car for school visits, career fairs, and other recruiting events.
