Overview

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an entry level, motivated Technician in our Plainville, CT office.

As a technician, you will perform a variety of routine tasks which are intended to provide experience and interaction with other staff, methods, practices, and programs or may perform mostly non-technical drafting support for assigned projects, using a computer as an aid to draft (CAD).

Responsibilities

Utilizes CAD drafting programs – including AutoCAD and REVIT – for preparation of design drawings, details, sketches, and schedules.
Prepares, or assists in the preparation of engineering documents, details, schedules or reports.
Assists in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality project on schedule which may include site investigation and remediation.
Adheres to company policy for CAD standards and file structure.
For CAD Operator, may be assigned basic, routine drafting work with a few technical problems.
Performs other related work as apparent or as assigned and performs all such work in a safe manner, consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Courses and/or experience in drafting or related field desired.
One year of experience in drafting or fieldwork preferred.
AutoCAD training certificate or training program.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
Mobility control of hands to set up equipment and operate tools.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.

The right candidate will be self- driven, self-motivated, and have great communication skills both written and verbal. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA without Sponsorship.
