Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a
Project Manager for our Building & Land Engineering Division in our Plainville or Groton, CT location. This position will provide managerial leadership and overall technical direction on projects. The Project Manager will oversee construction efforts to ensure that a project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities
- Identifies prospective clients, and in conjunction with senior management, arranges to make a proposal.
- Prepares proposal estimates of time and expense required to complete the project.
- May participate in presenting the proposal to the client.
- Participates in selecting the Project Team.
- Determines major project design decisions in conjunction with client and Project Officer.
- Assigns duties to the Project Team, answers their questions, and monitors their progress.
- Checks the accuracy of completed work.
- Maintains close relationship with the client throughout the development of the project as well as after the project is completed.
- Provides administrative supervision of assigned staff members, including performance feedback and recommending staff members for advancement.
- Performs work safely and insists that subordinates work safely, consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Performs other related work as apparent or assigned.
- Fully responsible for project scope, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understands the physical environment – including landforms and topography – and how these elements interact with the built environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- US Person - Eligible to work at aerospace and defense companies with export restrictions. US person is defined as a US Citizen or permanent resident.
- Effective technical skills.

- Excellent customer service skills.
Qualifications:- Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and be registered or qualified for registration in Connecticut.
- Must have 8-10 years’ experience in engineering design of projects in his or her own area of expertise.
- Construction professionals must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in similar type construction management with thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods) gained through 8-10 years’ experience.
- Qualify for appropriate professional certification in their specialty.
Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Able to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
