Field Services Team Leader - Drilling

OWN, Inc. • Full-time • Springfield, MO, US • 2d ago

We're looking for a Drilling Team Leader in Springfield, MO, to help lead our crews, strengthen our operations, and support the continued growth of our drilling services.

This role is for someone who knows the drilling industry, enjoys working with people, and is ready to take ownership of more than just the work in front of them. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape how our drilling operation runs - from crews and equipment to scheduling, production, and growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You'll lead drilling and subsurface investigation projects from scoping to final data. You'll keep crews safe, projects on track, and clients confident. Along the way, you'll:

Lead, mentor, and support a team of drilling technicians, from daily priorities to long-term growth
Coordinate rigs, schedules, equipment, and resources to keep work moving
Keep safety, equipment readiness, and quality at the forefront of everything we do
Own project scope, schedule, and budget
Build strong client relationships and help bring new ones in
Shape how the drilling team operates as it grows

What We’re Looking For:

Relevant experience in drilling, geotechnical investigations, or related field services
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is preferred
Strong understanding of drilling operations, field procedures, and safety practices
Experience coordinating projects, crews, and resources
Experience leading teams or a clear readiness to step into that role
A sense of ownership: you care about your people, your work, and delivering for clients

Why OWN?

At OWN, ownership means something. We’re 100% employee-owned, equitably, and we help our OWNers understand how the business performs, how their work impacts it, and how that connects to the value they’re building.
Trust and autonomy. You’re empowered to make decisions and take ownership of your work without unnecessary layers.
Room to make an impact. Your ideas are heard, and you’ll have a real say in how your team works, improves, and grows.
Flexibility that’s real. The freedom to be a professional. The freedom to be a person.
People you actually enjoy working with. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. Good people, low egos, plenty of laughs along the way.

Benefits

We take care of the people who take care of the work. That includes:

Employee ownership (ESOP) at no cost to you
401(k) with a 3% company contribution
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
16 days of PTO plus 8 paid holidays, growing with tenure
Paid parental leave
Company-paid life and disability insurance
Training and leadership development programs
