Staff Accountant Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, or other accounting software.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Conduct bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Assist with audits and tax preparation as needed.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
