Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Mid-Level Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to support a U.S. Space Force program. This position requires a talented and experienced MS&A Engineer to contribute to a larger, multidisciplined team to perform the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including analysis/feasibility, planning/requirements, design, system development, testing, deployment, maintenance, evaluation, and disposition/disposal. The MS&A Engineer will be required to design, develop, verify, and manage medium- to -high-fidelity system, environment, and mission MS&A products; assist requirements definition; assist Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) model development and MS&A integration; support Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations; and other activities necessary for the SDLC process. Responsibilities Design, develop, verify, and manage medium- to high-fidelity system, environment, and mission MS&A products to establish and verify system design and performance. Assist MS&A integration with MBSE models to perform mission analysis and parametric analysis at the system requirement and functional level. Perform MS&A trade studies to establish and assess system, subsystem, and component performance and effectiveness. Provide MS&A support to SWIL and HWIL simulation development, verification, execution, and data reduction and analysis. Provide MS&A expertise and guidance to the multidisciplined team across the SLDC process. Support system, subsystem, and component test and evaluation activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant technical discipline. Experience with MS&A development in support of the Intelligence Community (IC) and/or Department of Defense (DoD). Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing through producing MS&A documentation, verification plans and reports, final reports, process instructions, or other equivalent activities. Experience providing MS&A support for systems engineering technical reviews to include Design Concept Review (DCR), System Functional Review (SFR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Final Design Review (FDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and Production Readiness Review (PRR). Experience scripting to perform data analysis and reduction using Visual Basic, MATLAB, Python, Excel, or similar platform. Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Required Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience performing MS&A product design, development, verification, and management. Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: physics-based model development; Monte Carlo analysis; end-to-end mission simulation and analysis; and SWIL and HWIL simulations and analysis. Direct experience with modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and STK. Experience with projects using Agile methodologies, Digital Engineering (DE), and MBSE. Experience with projects using Agile software and hardware development methodologies. Experience utilizing MATLAB® and/or Python code to perform MS&A; data analysis and reduction; and SWIL and HWIL simulation control and automation. Experience with Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) applications. Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) models and applications. Desired Qualifications Master’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant technical discipline. 5+ years’ experience performing MS&A product design, development, verification, and management. Experience using in C, C++, Python, or another high-level programming language for both Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with Government or commercial spaceflight projects. Experience with aerospace system lifecycle design for launch, mission operations, and end-of-mission disposal. Experience with satellite, satellite payload, and ground Command and Control (C2) design and development programs. Active SECRET clearance.
