Overview
Scope of Responsibilities: Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals that meet the clinical needs of (Kinnect) patients. Provides a dynamic link between clinical practice and service development to support new models for delivering patient care. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy. Responsible for the training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Develops and identifies best practices working with advanced practitioners and other relevant healthcare professionals to achieve successful outcomes.
- Identify, develop, and execute cost savings programs for clients based on review of utilization data, current trends, and industry offerings
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical management programs for specific disease states or chronic medical conditions in collaboration with facility leadership and staff
- Assists the partner in identifying, evaluating, and addressing/resolving pharmacy-related concerns that affect patient care
- Provide routine reporting reflecting partner-level data and clinical management trends, with corresponding recommendations to improve clinical care delivered and potential savings
- Attend facility/partner meetings as required
- Assist the partner in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to ordering, storage, handling, labeling, destruction and administration of drugs and biologicals
- Responsible for prior authorization/approval reviews for patients
- Responsible for client drug utilization reviews and analysis
- Responsible for developing and presenting educational programs to partners
- Responsible for adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients
- Responsible for the performance of all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
- Responsible for the adherence to all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy
- Oversees and is responsible for the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third-party claims
- Responsible for the management of pharmacy inventory.
- Oversees the transmitting, processing and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed
- Oversees and is responsible for checking pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns
- Ensures prescription files and other records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
- Ensures technology is being used to its fullest potential to ensure a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span
- Ensure outstanding customer service is always exhibited by employees
- Ensure all loss prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations to Loss Prevention
- Ensure all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs are fully executed and implemented
- Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to provide a clean, professional environment that protects customer and employee safety
- Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
- Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel
- Assists in the development of an annual pharmacy department operating budget, and operate the pharmacy within the budgetary guidelines
- Interacts with Human Resources in the completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of personnel.
- Responsible for the assignment of duties and assisting in the scheduling of staff to ensure payroll and productivity budget guidelines are met
- Responsible for the training and development of all personnel
- Assist in the communication of corporate goals to all personnel
- Attend and actively participate in all KPH/Kinney required training/management programs as requested
- Interface with various auditors and outside agencies as needed
- Oversight responsibilities to ensure pharmacy is compliant with all state and federal regulations and requirements
- Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
- Preferred Residency in Ambulatory Care, Community Pharmacy, or Behavioral Health
- Preferred BPS Board Certified

Compensation:
$108,160.00 - $143,794.00 per year
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
