Position Summary:
We are looking for Construction Workers who are team players and who take responsibility and pride in the quality of their work. Construction Workers participate in various building and construction projects using an array of equipment, tools, and processes while helping promote a safe and productive jobsite. The Construction Worker typically reports to the site Superintendent.

Summary of Duties:
- Prepare the construction site each day with the necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
- Perform building and construction work including concrete walls, foundations, and slabs; structural steel and metal erection; interior and exterior process pipe installations; and general carpentry and finishes.
- With proper training, operate a variety of hand and power tools, forklifts, skid loaders, and other tools and equipment as directed.
- Load and unload construction supplies and equipment.
- Shovel materials to and from the job site such as dirt, asphalt, etc.
- Site cleanup duties.
- Conduct jobsite safety walk-throughs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations when performing work and as otherwise instructed.
- Train others in experienced tasks and learn tasks as needed or instructed.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly and assist with inventory management.
- Actively participate in work planning and the continuous improvement process.
- Follow all company work and safety policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Working Hours: Generally, expect to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, from 7:00AM – 4:00PM. Occasional overtime may be required.
Qualifications:
- Means of getting to and from job sites.
- Minimum tool requirement: 16oz or larger hammer, crescent adjustable wrench, screwdriver (6-1 type), tape measure, speed square, retractable utility knife, chalk box, lineman or rebar pliers.
- Successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and physical examination as a contingency for employment.

Travel: Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected; Construction Workers are assigned to job sites located throughout central Iowa and across the state.

Working Conditions:
Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noises, and more within OSHA standards. Job duties are often performed in close proximity to other people. Employees often work in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, stand for long periods of time, walk for moderate-to-long distances on varying surface conditions, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue. Must possess adequate communicative, auditory, and visual capabilities to avoid safety hazards.
