ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (95%) |
The Machinistmust be able to meet and maintain company guidelines by performing the following essential job functions and : - Must be able to set up, and operate conventional and/or CNC machining centers.
- Have knowledge of the tools, materials, methods, and standard practices of the machinist’s trade.
- Must have practical knowledge of reading drawings and specifications, ability to read and interpret process work instructions with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
- Must have practical knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and problem solve within a team environment.
- Must be able to communicate, get along and work well with other employees.
- Must comply with the rules and regulations mandated under the following quality and governmental standards: ISO 9000, AS 9100, ITAR and ISO 14001.
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with corporate policy and OSHA standards.
- Being at work every day and coming to work on-time is required.
- Ability to pass an annual Eye Exam per QP400
- Must be able to edit CNC programs
- Desirable if are able to develop and edit 3D CNC programs through the use of CAD / CAM software such as Mastercam.

| EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES and / or EXPERIENCE |
| - Flexial policy requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Technical degree from a two-year college or university preferred.

| LANGUAGE SKILLS |
| - Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, common business documents and industry publications.
|
| MATHEMATICAL SKILLS |
| - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios to practical situations.

| - Ability to work with principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Must be able to multi-task.

| PHYSICAL DEMANDS |
| - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, stand, and use hands. Physical requirements are to be able to lift 50 pounds. Vision requirements include ability to adjust focus, depth perception, peripheral, distance and close vision.

| COMPUTER SKILLS |
| - Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred. Knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
