We are looking for a Junior Estimator to join our Fresno, CA Team!
Job Summary: To assist in developing estimates of raw materials needed to complete various projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Support Senior Estimator in preparing bid proposals and presentations for clients.
- Development of confirmatory bids.
- Review blueprints and other architectural drawings to make informed estimates. May use CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and similar software tools to draft material estimates.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products and services.
- Assist with change order estimates as required.
- Track actual costs as the project develops.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentations.
- Ensure all estimate are completed in a timely manner and meet organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. 0-4 years of related industry work or experience.
- Certificates/Licenses: valid driver's license in good standings (must be 18 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle).
- Computer Skills: versed in Microsoft Excel, Word, Projects, and Outlook. Experience in any estimating software is a plus, but not required.
- Interpersonal Skills: strong analytical, written, and communication skills. Detail oriented, self-motivated, and coachable. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees, members of management, clients, agencies, and the general public.
- Mathematical Skills: ability to complete construction related calculations, take measurements, material quantities, etc.
- Organization and Planning: ability to read and interpret specifications and improvement plans. Ability to manage individual priorities, work activities, and manage multiple projects at any given time.
- Problem Solving: ability to use a systematic approach to solve problems and evaluate alternative solutions.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Hearing adequate to perform job duties in person.
- Able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties and respond to dangerous situations.
- Frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, squatting, sitting, pushing, and pulling.
- Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and other electronic devices. Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Able to safely ascend or descend step ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds in all directions without assistance.
- May work in areas where hazardous substances are present.
Salary:
- $31.78/hour - $44.47/hour
