Overview
Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees the operations of various employees when their work relates to areas defined in the job summary listed below. Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Job Summary: Responsible for customer loyalty and growth of pharmacy sales and profitability through the effective management of pharmacy operations and management staff to create an environment of excellence that attracts the highest caliber of personnel and customer base, includes oversight of pharmacy execution of HealthDirect objectives through the Operations team.
Responsibilities
- Full P&L accountability including the assisting in the development of annual budgets and management of all expenses designed to drive profitable growth.
- Oversight of annual business plans. Responsible for budgeting & achieving annual Capital expenses.
- Provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations for pharmacy fostering a culture of unity, teamwork, and a favorable working environment, consistent with the HealthDirect brand.
- Ensure talent is being developed and succession plans are in place within Pharmacy Operations, ensure quality and timely performance reviews for all employees. Ensure staffing levels are maintained to effectively manage day to day operations while building a strong foundation for future growth. Evolve the organizational structure to ensure the business is properly aligned to successfully execute strategic plans.
- Develop and control programs, procedures, and systems, and ensure they are implemented and maintained to provide improved efficiencies, profitability, and customer service.
- Responsible for all regulatory affairs as it pertains to pharmacy to ensure all locations are operating within state, federal and other regulatory guidelines, and corporate policies are adhered to
- Responsible for the monitoring of bench marking tools necessary for the measurements of efficiency and quality indicators
- Interface with HR and Training to assist in creating and implementing employee training and Development programs for employees.
- Facilitate constructive collaboration between Marketing and Operations team to insure pristine execution of marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain high standards of excellence in customer service and customer loyalty.
- Responsible for ensuring Pharmacy Managers implement assigned programs and procedures designed to create customer loyalty and recruitment.
- Maintain effective communication with upper management and coordinate the interactions of corporate support departments with operations.
- Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Preferred: Previous experience in Pharmacy Operations

Travel: Extensive travel required. Attendance at various KPH and industry business conferences required. Extensive on-site in stores visits required.
