Summary
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of Al Neyer's technology infrastructure, security and IT disaster recovery plan, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies through information systems, leading system implementations, and developing IT strategies that align with business goals. Reporting to the CFO, this role involves strategic planning, project leadership, and collaboration across departments to support IT needs. Occasional travel and extended hours may be required to support our markets needs and during critical projects.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Plan and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and clear return on investment.
- Oversee external IT providers in performing hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, and deployments and ensuring infrastructure reliability, availability, and security.
- Ensure external IT providers resolve technical issues promptly and deliver high-quality internal user support.
- Lead IT projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, on-budget, and in-scope delivery while addressing departmental IT needs.
- Ensure data security and regulatory compliance through IT policies, regular security audits, and proactive measures against cyber threats.
- Negotiate and manage vendor relationships, ensuring contracts and service level agreements are fulfilled.
- Manage disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or breach.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements that enhance operations.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s or certifications (ITIL, PMP, CISSP) beneficial but not required.
- 5+ years of IT management experience, including overseeing service providers and implementing systems in corporate settings.
- Proficient in network and systems administration, cybersecurity, database management, and cloud computing, with strong knowledge of operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Skilled in project management methodologies, with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Proven collaboration across business functions, motivating teams to achieve results and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a track record of resolving complex technical issues.
Safety Hazard of the Job
Normal safety hazards associated with office work, and with occasional observational visits to construction sites.
Physical Demands
Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk. Maximum unassisted lift is 35 lbs. Average lift is less than 10 lbs. Requires ability to use a keyboard and monitor. Also requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone. May require some travel by car or plane.
Environmental Requirements
Average inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required. Ambient temperature is between 68F and 76F.
