THE ROLE
Under limited supervision, performs administrative functions in support of the Operations Department. Performs scheduling, maintenance, audits and other duties related to the operations of an operating company.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Handles site lead responsibilities under the direction of the Operations Manager by planning and ensuring the flow of material entering and leaving the transfer station.
- Determines and coordinates scheduling for third party vendor to transport material from the facility.
- Performs facility inspections and coordinates any site maintenance needs. Ensures equipment is properly maintained.
- Manages site inventory by performing monthly audit of parts, supplies and fuel, and makes purchases as needed.
- Manages and facilitates the transferring of equipment to other divisions by working with corporate fleet department.
- Completes environmental regulatory paperwork, performs daily, weekly, monthly environmental and facility safety inspections, and handles storm water sampling and monitoring duties. Is the initial point of contact with city and county inspectors for operational and regulatory compliance, and manages all site recordkeeping of compliance documents.
- Plans, determines and distributes workload on a daily basis. Ensures material moves through the site efficiently. Directs cart cleaning, repair and preparation, and assigns other yard duties as needed. Follows-up to ensure task completion.
- Ensures the safe use of equipment and notifies the appropriate manager or supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
- Perform dispatch office duties at a collections company. Duties include but not limited to communicate customer service tickets to drivers at call in, check in drivers, and perform data entry.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:
- Five years of related experience.
- Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations.
- Basic computer programs.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license
