This position will report to BBEC, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. The Construction Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for performing tasks of an electrician, installing the work and handling the bulk of materials. This employee should keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and always keep the work area clean. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment is essential. Ensure electrical installations conform to NEC and trade standards. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit. Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels. Connect power cables to equipment such as electrical range or motor, and install grounding leads. Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems and detect hazards or needs for adjustment, relocation, or replacement. Repair faulty equipment or systems. Lead a team on projects as needed. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment Install and upgrade electrical components and electronic circuitry Work from blueprints, schematics, sketches or verbal instructions Properly connect and use all the varieties of electrical and testing and alignment Assist with other trades Material handling and organizing Wire pulls Mounting and strapping Keeps work area clean Understand & follow safety requirements Position Requirements: To perform this job successfully, the Journeyman Electrician must be able to perform each essential duty successfully. The requirements listed below are indicative of knowledge, skills and abilities required. Positively identify colors of wires Bend conduit by hand with hand benders Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in the Safety Policy Read and interpret maps, instruction manuals, specifications, work site directions, blue prints and written instructions. Give and take verbal instructions Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electrical or gas powered) Work from all sizes and types of ladders Job requires employee to have required personal tools with them at all times Able to work eight (8) hour days, forty (40) hour weeks Welcome!
