The Tool Crib Attendant manages inventory, issues tools and equipment, and ensures proper maintenance and organization within the tool crib. May work with engineering to identify and make corrections to tool print.
Shift/Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
Compensation
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $19.67 to $26.22. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education
Essential Functions
Tool Inventory
- Maintains accurate records of tools and equipment, including tracking distribution and users.
- Ensures tools are properly stored and organized
- Orders new tools and equipment as needed (cutting P.O.s)
- Identifies and reports missing, damaged or unsafe tools.
Tool Issuance and Return
- Issues tools and equipment to employees, ensuring proper procedures and followed
- Collects returned tools and ensures they are in good condition
Maintenance and Inspection
- Inspecting tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage
- Perform minor repairs or scheduling necessary maintenance
- Ensures tools are properly calibrated and maintained
Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of tool issuances, returns, and inventory levels
- Update inventory databases or systems
Safety
- Adheres to all safety procedures and regulations
- Ensures the tool crib is a safe, organized and secure workspace
- Follow all safety procedures when handling tools and equipment
Other
- May include delivering tools and equipment to various departments and technicians
- May mark and identify tools and equipment.
- Assist technicians with tooling requirements

Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Prior experience in a tool crib, inventory control, or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with common hand tools and equipment
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively

- 2+ years of related experience
