DSG is seeking a Director of Plumbing Segment to join our team. As a strategic and commercial leader, the Director of Plumbing Segment is responsible for driving DSG’s plumbing segment growth through enterprise-level strategy and scalable business models. This role owns segment revenue, market expansion, and profitability by setting the long-term growth roadmap, shaping the product and services portfolio, and aligning cross-functional leaders around sales growth and customer value priorities. With a primary focus on strategy, commercial execution, and supplier partnerships - while partnering with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain for enablement - the Director ensures scalable, repeatable growth across the organization rather than direct operational management. The role builds a customer- and growth-centric culture and leads in alignment with DSG’s core values of integrity, commitment, teamwork, respect, and excellence.

A Typical Day in the Life of the Director of Plumbing Segment:

Lead the Plumbing segment’s multi-year growth strategy aligned with DSG’s corporate objectives and vision.
Own segment revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability, setting clear growth targets and priorities.
Assess market dynamics and competitive trends to inform strategy and alignment decisions.
Identify and evaluate growth opportunities across products, services, customer segments, and go-to-market approaches.
Drive the development of scalable, enterprise-wide solutions and playbooks that enable consistent growth, execution, and create customer value across the organization.
Provide strategic leadership for key supplier partnerships, including program alignment, negotiations, and governance.
Set the direction for the Plumbing supplier alliance and services portfolio to ensure strong market positioning and relevance.
Partner with Sales leadership to drive segment sales strategy, pipeline development, and market penetration.
Guide sales enablement priorities to build product expertise and accelerate effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Pricing, Digital) to support scalable execution.
Own segment profitability performance and monitor KPIs to assess progress and adjust strategy.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing segment team while fostering a customer- and growth-oriented culture.

A Successful Director of Plumbing Segment Typically Has:

10+ years of experience in wholesale distribution leadership roles.
Deep knowledge of Plumbing business, technologies, and product ecosystem (residential, commercial, hydronics, controls, etc.).
Strong strategic thinking and business planning expertise.
Excellent communication and executive-level presentation abilities.
Ability to lead through influence in a matrix environment.
Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and financial analysis.
Ability to travel regularly to branches, suppliers, industry events, and customers.
