Mitigation Estimator / Coordinator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Estimator / Coordinator to manage water, fire, and environmental mitigation projects from initial inspection through estimate approval and job coordination. This role sits at the intersection of field operations, estimating, insurance compliance, and customer communication and is critical to cycle time, cash flow, and customer satisfaction.

This is not an entry-level role. The right candidate understands IICRC standards, Xactimate, insurance program requirements, and how to move jobs efficiently from loss to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Documentation

Perform on-site inspections for water, fire, and specialty mitigation losses
Create accurate Xactimate estimates in compliance with IICRC S500 / S700 standards
Properly classify losses (Category, Class, scope justification)
Upload estimates, photos, moisture logs, and documentation into Xactanalysis and internal systems
Respond to adjuster requests, revisions, and disputes in a timely manner

Project Coordination

Coordinate mitigation crews, equipment placement, and job schedules
Ensure work authorizations, contracts, and certificates of satisfaction are properly executed
Monitor job progress and close files promptly to support billing and collections
Communicate clearly with homeowners, adjusters, and internal teams

Insurance Program Compliance

Adhere to carrier and TPA program guidelines (cycle time, initial upload, documentation standards)
Maintain clean files that withstand audits and desk reviews
Support dispute submissions when needed with clear, professional justification

Required Qualifications

2+ years of mitigation estimating or coordination experience
Strong working knowledge of Xactimate and Xactanalysis
Solid understanding of IICRC S500/S700 standards
Experience with insurance carrier programs preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong follow-through

Preferred Certifications

IICRC WRT (required or must obtain)
ASD, AMRT, or FSRT a plus
Xactimate Level 2 or higher preferred
