Description
The primary function of the Project Coordinator is to provide basic onsite administrative support to the project management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and process LAX security badges for employees, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) security requirements.
- Schedule and track badging appointments, fingerprinting, and required training, maintaining accurate badge and access logs.
- Serve as the primary liaison with LAWA badging and security offices, coordinating airport access credentials, proxy cards, and parking passes.
- Track badge expirations, renewals, and replacements to ensure uninterrupted access for project personnel.
- Provide administrative and operational support to project management staff, maintaining project files, logs, and documentation.
- Manage and maintain project reporting and documentation, including daily reports, RFI logs, and updates within project management systems.
- Assist with subcontractor labor compliance and workforce tracking, including documentation through payroll compliance systems.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding documentation and training compliance, including airport security and safety requirements.
- Maintain organized project filing systems and personnel records, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Support office operations and team coordination, including managing supplies and deliveries, and organizing team events and lunches.

Qualifications
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Broad understanding of construction administration processes
- Understands and effectively uses company software programs and systems:
- Proficiency in computer skills (MS Word, Excel Outlook, CMiC, Box, Bluebeam) and ability to learn other software management systems
- Proficiency in Outlook and has the ability to manage calendars, address books, tasks and email
- Ability to navigate and manage files and folders in Box Demonstrated understanding of the importance of relationship building Effective oral and written communication skills
Well-developed time management and organization skills
Experience with LAWA badging is a big plus.

Physical Demands
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
