EnSafe continues to grow, and we are adding an Engineering Associate to our Tampa, FL office.

We are EnSafe, an employee-owned, environmental consulting and engineering firm. We strive to provide cutting-edge, creative solutions for our clients. For over 43 years EnSafe has provided regulatory compliance, site assessment, and remediation services for private industry and all levels of government. EnSafe has adeptly and concurrently executed hundreds of cleanups at military installations, Superfund sites, Airports, and other Commercial, Federal, and State sites.

What we are looking for:

As an Engineering Associate, who is driven to work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, and collaboration at all levels, maintaining a culture of support, and professional growth. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations.

What you will be doing:

Coordinate and perform site assessment including groundwater, soil, surface water, soil gas, and air sample collection
Prepare Phase I and Phase II ESAs
Perform pilot studies and field testing for various/emerging contaminants
Provide design support for small and large-scale remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination for sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs
Provide inspection and design support for process/facility engineering projects and industrial wastewater systems
Perform O&M of remedial systems, operational data collection and troubleshooting
Provide data compilation, database management, statistical evaluation, and modeling
Prepare work plans and cost estimates
Oversee and manage subcontractors
Write technical reports
Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, and subcontractors
Master use of field tablets, drones, and specialty software to map sites

Qualifications:

BS Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Civil preferred)
At least 5 years of experience in Environmental Assessment and Remediation
Possess or able to obtain EI and PE certification
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
Hands-on experience working with pumps, blowers, compressors, controls/instrumentation, hand/power tools, etc.
Basic understanding of groundwater/lithology characteristics/logging, hydraulics
Familiarity with remedial technologies and design plans and specifications
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and communication skills
Valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
Regional travel up to 35% on an annual basis
