Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Miami FL - Miami, FL 33126, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Minimum 4 Year Degree, The Miami, FL and Orlando, FL Offices of Modjeski and Masters (M&M) are looking for a full-time Senior Highway Engineer, with at least 10 years’ experience in FDOT highway projects.

What We’re Looking For

Registered PE in the State of Florida Minimum of 10 years of FDOT Experience and Highway specific projects experience A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Highway/Transportation Design from an ABET accredited college or university Experience in pursuing and managing multi-discipline projects, including projects with bridge replacement, new bridge alignment, or bridge rehabilitation. Client Relationships with FDOT District One, District Four, Districts Five, District Six, District Seven, and CFX. A strong work ethic with the ability to mentor junior engineers. Proficient in MicroStation and Bentley Open Road Designer. Familiarity with AASHTO and Florida Design Manual. Ability to work in a team environment with a professional sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs. Detail oriented with good oral and written communications skills and a fluency in English.

What You’ll Do

Provide technical and leadership guidance for transportation engineers. Maintain strong client relationships, Pursue and win projects with FDOT and local agency clients. Prepare proposals and attend marketing presentations. Manage multiple projects and project teams within budget and schedule. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Perform roadway design tasks, and plan preparation utilizing Open Road Designer, from conception phase to final deliverable phase, including specs package and cost estimate and post-design services.
