Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviews setup procedures and checklists.
- Monitors parts and equipment before and during use.
- Applies chemical coatings to mold using pneumatic spray gun.
- Places mold components into fixtures.
- Operates station controls.
- Lifts and lowers parts from station fixtures.
- Removes product from mold using manually-guided manipulator.
- Inspects, stamps, and tags approved product using part number checklist system.
- Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to follow written directions
Environmental & Physical Demands
- Occupational noise exposure is high during performance of required duties. Adequate hearing protection is provided and required at all times.
- Conditions in a Foundry environment seasonally present an heat index with temperatures above 115°F. Ventilation is provided.
- Occupational exposure to fumes, dust, and casting debris is regularly encountered. Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed, industrial footwear is required at all times.
- Duties require repetitive reaching and lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of objects up to 60 lbs. (Lifting devices are provided at the workstation to prevent lifting of any object over 25lbs, but there are times when manual lifting is required).
