ConMet's Program Manager will be responsible for defining, managing, and directing the work for Wheel End development projects to ensure all technical, timing, budgetary, and quality requirements are met. This position requires a detailed-oriented individual with strong communication skills who can provide program management leadership and drive accountability to a cross functional team. The Program Manager will utilize program and project management expertise to facilitate product design and development from concept through to completion and into production.
This role requires working in an office environment (not hybrid or remote) at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation (relocation assistance available).
Key Duties

- Lead cross-functional teams, both internal and external, in the development of new products and modification of existing products.
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and key milestones. Communicate these to all relevant stakeholders to ensure feasibility with regards to time, cost, quality, and technical requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans to share with stakeholders using APQP tools to monitor and track progress. Lead the management signoff process and on-time completion of APQP phases.
- Identify and resolve issues/risks using established project management tools and techniques.
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, project costs and technical requirements using appropriate verification techniques.
- Drive project work to completion, using good judgement in determining when to escalate issues to management.
- Accountable for creation, maintenance, and completion of comprehensive project documentation which may include:
- Project plans, Budgets, Risk Scorecards, APQP checklists, DFMEA, DVP&R, Technical requirements, 8D’s, and Design reviews & records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 to 5+ years of Program Management and/or Project Management experience desired.
- Demonstrated experience communicating cross functionally with internal and external customers.
- Experience within the automotive and/or commercial trucking industry launching new components and assemblies preferred.
- Experience using PLM software; Teamcenter/Enovia/Windchill preferred.

Salaried Exempt Compensation & Benefits
- New hires generally start between $84,326 - $120,466. The full salary range for the position, across all geographies, is $84,326 - $144,559 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
- Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.
