Part-Time Assistant Teacher

Part-Time Teacher Assistant Available daily from 12:00 p.m.-6:00 pm. Job responsibilities include assisting classroom staff and facilitating play with children, infants through PreK. Classroom maintenance, competent supervision, and warmth towards children are all required.

Responsibilities include:

Participate in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
Ensure compliance with licensing and NAEYC guidelines
Effective communication with families, staff and board
Effective written communication skills
Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, pushing strollers/buggies, sitting on the floor and year-round daily outdoor activities

Qualifications:

CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, preferred or in progress
Previous experience teaching children in an Early Childhood program preferred
Previous experience with NAEYC standards and the accreditation process a plus
