Additional Compensation Details:
- $75k to $110k Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
- Potential 90-day performance-based raise
- Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure
Responsibilities
The Role
Provides advice and counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees as to Human Resources policies and procedures and employee benefits. The Seattle HR Manager will work closely with the Corporate HR Team on activities associated with compliance, reporting and auditing. The HR Manager will also provide system and HR protocol training to new leads, supervisors, and managers.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
- Give support to employees regarding HR policy and procedures, leave of absences, benefits, training, and ER questions.
- Responsible for advising management team on issues of employment, personnel policies and procedures, systems training and best practices.
- Work with HR Team on employee engagement projects to include quarterly events, annual health and safety fair, service awards, department meals, and other employee appreciation events.
- Mediate, counsel, and facilitate in adjudicating disputes between employees and their supervisors and managers.
- Must use care and judgment to ensure fairness and equity throughout the counseling process.
- Work with 3rd party vendor on company affirmative action plan, EEO and veteran reporting.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Audit division timekeeping records and employment personnel file compliance.
- Manage case load of worker’s comp claims, work closely with the Safety department on managing company safety programs, regularly submit SAW claims, and keep OSHA log updated.
- Knowledge of the company's benefit programs to answer employee and manager’s basic benefit questions.
- Monitor background checks and UA results in the HireRite system. Work with transportation safety, HR and hiring managers to adjudicate red flags.
- Primary point of contact for local occupational health clinics regarding drug testing and workers comp claims.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources, talent management and employment law.

- Special projects as assigned by the Sr. HR Business Partner.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of HR Management or HR Generalist experience.
- HR Degree or Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work according to level of urgency.
- Advanced communication skills and team building skills.
- Knowledge of regional employment laws and regulations.
- Experienced with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Advance relationship building and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with ADP
- Knowledge of iCIMS or MS Dynamics.
