We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Roadway/Highway Design team. This opportunity can be based out of any of our Indiana offices. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with experience working on LPA and/or INDOT roadway design projects. Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

In this position, the candidate will:

Work on a variety of DOT and/or LPA roadway/highway projects.
Support project managers in the planning and execution of engineering projects.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
Conduct engineering analysis and design for assigned projects.
Design complete projects or components of a project and prepares complete project documents.
Apply engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met.
Prepare and reviews project documentation, reports, and specifications.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
May assign work to junior engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff.
May perform other duties associated with this role.

Qualifications for this role:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license. Lacking a PE, continued progression may be delayed.
4-7 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
Proficiency with project scheduling tools and software.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Valid Driver's License
