WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Printing Press Plate Mounter works with printing plates which make the impressions on our printed packaging materials. The process includes prepping the cylinders and plates used in the print process and performing accurate placement of the plates to meet job specifications. The plate mounter maintains accuracy of mounted plate jobs in our ERP systems using a mobile scanning device. Precision, accuracy and quality are key in this intricate process.
This is a weekend shift position, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:30am - 6:30pm; shift differential will apply.
WHAT WE NEED
MUST-HAVES:
HS diploma or GED
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform basic math skills
Good hand to eye coordination
Experience working in a fast paced environment
Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment
Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel
Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed
WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
Frequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 50 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to loud noise.
Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to machinery and mechanical, moving parts.
