Full time Evening Floor Technician – 40 hours per week – Mon-Fri & depending on work, some weekends
$20 to $25 an hour DOE - Medical, dental, vision available after waiting period period.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Extensive knowledge of floor care such as waxing & buffing floors & carpet cleaning
Extensive knowledge of equipment used for floors & carpets
Push/pull/lift up to 100 lbs or more as a 2 man lift
Basic English which includes, reading, writing, speaking & comprehension required for instructions, notes/memos & chemical labels on supplies
Ability to work in cooperation with a team environment
Job Requirements
Dependable & reliable vehicle to drive to & from each building site
Dependable & reliable phone numbers for communications with office staff
Ability to work with attention to details
Ability to work within designated time frames set for each building site
No Absences for the 1st 90 days of employment
Physical Requirements
Prolonged standing & walking
Repetitive motions requiring use of wrists & hands
High & Low level positions frequently reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and crouching
Ability to endure strong physical demands consistently throughout the course of the shift
Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs as a 2 man lift for equipment used by Floor Technician
Qualifications
3–5 years’ of floor technician experience
Clean Driving Abstract
18 years of age required
Valid picture ID & Soc Sec Card
Ability to read, write & speak English to communicate effectively with Staff

Job Position Description:
This position is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing carpeted and hard floor surfaces. Other duties may be Assigned:
Requirements
- Perform all floor cleaning and maintenance duties for facilities using ServiceMaster provided tools and procedures
- Duties include: sweeping, mopping, polishing, vacuuming, shampoo carpets, stripping, waxing, buffing. moving furniture, disinfect floors with sanitizer, spot cleaning, cleaning of elevators and stairs
- Must achieve thorough understanding of floor maintenance procedures such as but not limited to, stripping and waxing, identifying different flooring types.
- Ability to operate various floor equipment and machinery
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Use proper PPE and safety equipment as required
- Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security system as required.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a floor tech is highly desiredbut not required·
- Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethicand willingness to learn
- Experience working for a professional janitorial or floor care company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
- The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.
- Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
- Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
- Must be able to communicate in English
Physical Demands and Qualifications:
- Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 55lbs.
- Ability to read cleaning instructions
- Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
