Summary
Evaluate, repair, and reassemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Use basic hand tools and measuring instruments to teardown, measure, evaluate, reassemble, and test hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders of varying size and complexity.
Assess reason for mechanical failure, make recommended changes if any.
Specify parts and required time to perform the repair. Document all findings and carryout the repair.
Must be able to determine tolerances and metric-to-standard dimension conversions.
Must have the flexibility to stay on task and on time with projected delivery dates.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining various shop equipment as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Requirements
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Individual should basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as basic knowledge of the internet.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Driver's License. Ability to become forklift certified.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must be able to use basic hand tools, measuring instruments and other specialized tools and equipment as required. Individual should have high mechanical aptitude and spatial skills.
Other Qualifications
Must have the ability to be on call. Must be able to work overtime with little or no notice.
