The Water Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager will work closely with project team members to manage and execute a variety of projects. This individual will be responsible for planning, design, coordination, and execution of projects as well as project and client management.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional engineering services for water treatment and related infrastructure projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors.
- Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities, such as water supply and distribution systems, and water treatment plants.
- Lead specific tasks of large projects or manage smaller projects and manage and mentor performance of assigned project team members including other Project Engineers, Engineers in Training, and Engineering Technicians.
- Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, structural, mechanical, and architectural teams.
- Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
- Assist in maintaining budgets and schedules of project assignments and in maintaining quality client relationships and communication.
- Assist the Water Practice Leader in identifying, evaluating, pursuing, and managing project opportunities.
- Maintain existing client relationships and assist with pursuing relationships with new clients.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with 5+ years of engineering experience with water supply, treatment, and distribution systems.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in North Dakota or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading teams within multi-discipline projects and ability to multi-task to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills.
- Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgement and aptitude among peers, management, and staff.
- Knowledge of North Dakota permitting and 10 State Standard design requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience with water supply, treatment, and distribution systems.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of project financials.
