Overview

Highlight Technologies is seeking a highly qualified individual for an Administrative Assistant position to perform a variety of administrative tasks for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Our Administrative Assistant role requires excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail while able to work independently with minimal supervision.

This position requires a strong team player with the ability to build relationships while demonstrating a high degree of professionalism, accountability, and diplomacy. The Administrative Assistant carries out complex administrative functions requiring situational analysis, decision making, and resolution of complex work problems.

Responsibilities

Perform Integrated Review Group (IRG) administrative services functions that include:

Support planning, coordinating, and establishing study section work priorities.
Provide information to IRG staff and others about policy and procedural changes.
Maintain Outlook calendar and MS Teams site for IRG Chief.
Coordinate in-house and off-site meetings, teleconferences, and videoconferences.
Plan and coordinate domestic travel arrangements for conferences and review meetings.

Review Meeting Assistance:

Check meeting demographics for accuracy and format consistency.
Check grant applications for compliance as requested.
Ensure summary statement formatting is compliant as requested.
Monitor meeting conflicts.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship.
Public Trust eligibility.
Bachelor’s degree.
1-5 years of experience in an administrative assistant and customer support position.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
Technical skills: personal computer, computer peripheral equipment.
