Position: Territory Manager/Outside Sales Representative

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Territory Manager with 5+ years of outside sales and customer service experience to cover Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. This position is responsible for making make sales calls on prospective & existing customers to develop new business and build strong customer relationships. A key function of this role is to meet or exceed budget expectations by growing market share. Additional responsibilities include recognizing and assessing market trends, identifying unmet customers’ needs and collecting competitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

· Build relationships with current accounts and customers.

· Schedule appointments and visit existing customers to review product needs and cultivate other opportunities.

· Research accounts, identify key decision makers and develop interest.

· Develop new sales opportunities with customers in the defined channels and segments.

· Build and maintain a database of prospects.

· Build relationships with prospective customers in key markets.

· Entertain existing and potential customers via interests, both during and outside of business hours.

· Act as subject matter expert (SME) on all product offerings.

· Continuously update customers on product changes and modifications. Stay up to date with industry news, issues, and initiatives.

· Pro-actively identify and track market trends, opportunities and threats. Communicate to management and other employees.

· Collaborate with inside sales to increase our industry presence through trade shows and other marketing channels

· Provide product quotes as required.

· Liaise between customers and the company for up-to-date status of service, pricing and new product release launches.

· Open new accounts.

· Provide solutions to customers’ problems.

· Complete call reports on a daily basis.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred.

· Five plus years’ outside sales and customer service experience preferred.

· Steel service center industry experience highly desired.

· Travel throughout the designated territory, including occasional overnight stays as needed.

· Operating with the highest integrity, ethics, and respect for colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

· Proficient with computers and software including Microsoft Office suite.

· Strong analytical skills with a high energy level.

· Well-organized and detail-oriented.

· Team player.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Salary:

$90,000-$110,000 base salary

Travel:

Frequent travel throughout the Oregon and Pacific Northwest territory, including overnight travel.
Some travel to various Brown Strauss branches required as needed.
Primarily remote with some presence and visits to our Longview, WA branch.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
