POSITION SUMMARY:
Engineer, test, and deploy technical solutions using data analytics and business intelligence tools in order to drive business value for the Kroger Co. and its stakeholders. Lead and collaborate on data projects, manage processes, and improve efficiencies with the P.L. Marketing Business Intelligence team. Provide continuous technical and analytical support for solutions and stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least one half day per week based on your team’s schedule
- Optimize the use of information system, reports and business intelligence technology by staying current on BI solutions and providing guidance and training to the office staff.
- Provide expert analysis, organization, and reporting of information to both PL Marketing and the Kroger Company by leveraging the data available from multiple corporate and syndicated sources such IRI, 84.51, Business Objects Universes, and internal databases.
- Collect and validate data from internal systems and supplier sources as needed
- Prepare, process and distribute scheduled reports on a routine basis using a variety of software such as Business Objects, MS Office and other proprietary systems
- Helps provide insights to the Our Brand department through an understanding of the business need
- Troubleshoot data integrity, user and system problems and work with the user to achieve positive results
- Be a proactive team member with the optimization of information system, reports and technology
- Professionally and effectively represent both P.L. Marketing and peers with members of the Kroger teams and external stakeholders
- Stay current on important issues that are impactful to the success of Kroger Our Brands and P.L. Marketing

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2-year experience in a technical or analytical role
- 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or Economics is desirable
- Proficient in MS SQL, Business Objects, Power Pivot, Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other Business Intelligence applications
- Preferred experience in Kroger corporate systems and syndicated sources such as 84.51, Market 6, Mintel and IRI
- Knowledge of internet and web-based applications
- Strong organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into a deliverable solution
- Experience generating detailed reports and delivering a summary of your findings in both spreadsheet and presentation form
- Ability to adapt to advancing technology and computer solutions
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
- Ability to build and maintain positive and productive business relationships with users and team members
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an audience, from senior level executives to business users
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Reporting and database experience
