Position Overview
Summary: The CLS Sales Representative is responsible for developing business opportunities in designated Commercial Landscape Services markets through engaging with prospects, coordinating with internal teams, and adjusting strategies according to industry trends. This role involves maintaining accurate reporting, prompt issues resolution, and participating in sales calls and meetings.

Job Duties
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions*):
- Develop and cultivate new business and sales opportunities tailored to clients’ needs for solutions on their properties in targeted Commercial Landscape Services markets.*
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet websites, past history, and other sources.*
- Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with prospective customers, engaging with them through verbal and written communication to secure sales and foster strong client relationships.*
- Work with the Davey Business Development Team to coordinate business and sales opportunities for work performed by other service lines, utilizing the operations approval flowchart.*
- Work closely with Operations to retain business and gain future client opportunities through exceptional customer service and communication with the client and Davey teams.*
- Continuously monitor customer preferences and industry trends to determine the focus of sales efforts and adapt accordingly, based on the service line’s strategies and insights gained.*
- Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.*

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions*) continued:
- Maintain accurate reporting, record keeping, and data management within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data system to track and analyze sales and customer interactions as well as internal team reporting, QlikSense, and other platforms for data verification and accurate history.*
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing and sales contacts.*
- Proactively address and resolve customer complaints related to sales and service, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.*
- Communicate with the appropriate managers and sales teams regarding generated sales and proposals submitted, ensuring timely and comprehensive follow-up reporting.*
- Participate in sales calls to align strategies and maintain a cohesive team effort.*
- React appropriately in an emergency situation.*
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Required: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer or software programs necessary to complete job duties.
- Required: Driver’s license.
- Preferred: Fluency in Spanish is beneficial.
- In some cases, the government clients Davey Tree Expert Company contracts with conduct their own background check. Results of this background check may affect the potential for hire.
