Overview
MSA has an opportunity for a part time (estimated 25 hours per week) Engineering Technician II - Civil at our Madison, WI office. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. This position will be involved in design, CAD drafting, and construction observation for a variety of projects to support our agricultural engineering and public works teams. This is a great position for those with a desire to learn more about agricultural facilities including beef, dairy, swine and poultry.

Responsibilities
The work you will do
- Utilize primarily AutoCAD C3D CAD software to perform detailed drafting and design of civil and municipal projects including plan preparation
- Work on a Team to develop and QA Civil Engineering Plan Sets
- Utilize primarily AutoCAD C3D CAD software to perform detailed drafting and design of agricultural and infrastructure projects
- Completing redline revisions to plans
- Completing as-built or as-constructed plans and documentation
- Creating plan and profile sheets
- Construction inspection
- Computations, reduction of field notes, filing and retrieving prints, and running prints
Qualifications
What you bringSkills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related degree preferred
- 4+ years of industry experience required
- Prior CAD drafting experience required
- Experience working in the field required
- Prior experience with CAD Surface Modeling preferred
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a consulting environment on a Team setting
- This position requires authorization to work in the United States.
