Overview

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Technical Associate to add to our Environmental Assessment Team in our Plainville, CT office.

Responsibilities

Help identify prospective clients, and in conjunction with senior management, assist in making proposals.
Involved in the review process of proposals for technical quality and content.
Participate in presenting the proposal to the client.
Conduct periodic QA/QC audits.
Assist in identifying staff development needs and in conducting in-house training as necessary to meet identified needs.
Helps ensure that the latest technical data is accessible to project staff.
Performs other related work as apparent or as assigned and performs all such work in a safe manner, consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Geology or other related disciplines.
8-10 years’ experience in environmental consulting.
Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel preferred. Database and data visualization software (EQuIS, EnviroInsite, GIS) experience a plus.
Willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment. Knowledge in organizing, planning, and prioritizing work.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
Mobility control of hands to set up equipment, handle samples, and operate tools.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
