Are you a visionary in structural design with a passion for creating innovative retail fixtures that captivate and inspire? We’re seeking a Senior Structural Designer to lead the way in delivering exceptional solutions for our clients. In this role, you’ll exemplify best-in-class design practices, mentor your peers, and elevate our team to new heights of expertise.
As a master of product development, you’ll leverage your deep knowledge of substrates, hardware, and manufacturing processes to create unique visual fixtures that balance creativity, functionality, and scalability. From crafting 3D models to conducting design reviews and fine-tuning production documentation, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing ideas to life—always with a keen eye on client needs and budgetary goals.

Shift available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, onsite at our Chanhassen, MN facility
A variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:
- a Bachelor’s degree in Design or Engineering
- a minimum of 5 years of related software experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, ArtiosCAD, etc
- 5 or more years experience in retail design with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in structural engineering of displays/signs
- a strong portfolio and elevated sense of spatial visualization, design and 3D

- pay close attention to details so you are able to complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
- be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve problems independently, effectively and creatively

- understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information
In this position you'll:
- engage in new fixture development at project kickoff meetings to fully grasp and document the scope of work. Creates fixture designs that meet visual, structural and budgetary requirements while collaborating with internal teams throughout the process. Has touch-base meetings as necessary to ensure projects are on track.
- use ArtiosCAD 2D and 3D tools consistent with department standards to create BOM and file outputs clearly and accurately. Provides all required documentation and support to the Product Development team for prototype builds.
- schedule, prepare for and lead Design and BOM Review Meetings to align with Work Back Schedules. Collaborates with peers to validate designs, drawings and specifications for other departments to produce fixtures correctly. Participates in Prototypes Reviews and incorporates necessary changes to ensure design intent while meeting client and production requirements. Provides direction to others for document changes when appropriate.
- collaborate with design, sales, product development and engineering teams to create a strong partnership with the focus of completing the design work and revisions within the targeted timelines identified by TBG’s project management and customers.
- demonstrate mastery of Pace and Google business tools utilizing them accurately and timely to track project data and communicate deliverables and pertinent information to colleagues.
- seek out and engages in Continuous Improvement activities to improve How We Work, vigorously demonstrates mastery of and adherence to TBG’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards. Performs job-related duties as outlined within SOPs and Standards.
- mentor Structural Designers to develop software and design skills, gain knowledge of material characteristics, processes and manufacturing methods. Willingly trains individuals and teams on how to best engage with the TPOP department to promote consistency. Redirects when necessary to ensure process compliance.
- perform miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by management.
