Summary/Objective
The
Global Account Manager provides and develops global sales strategy implementation and leadership for specific customers that have either a global or multi-national geographic footprint. Responsible for development of business plan and manages strategic business activities. Provides guidance to the business unit, customer service, and manufacturer sales representative firms. As a member of the senior management team, the Global Account Manager will also play a key role in the development and expansion of our business plan to additional strategic customers, which includes the organizational to support growth.
Competencies – Knowledge & Skills And Experiences
- Strong understanding of operations including manufacturing, materials management, and quality & regulatory
- Experience and knowledge of the medical device, medical equipment, and military/aerospace industries
- Demonstrated sales and management leadership driving high performance sales initiatives and long-term strategic growth.
- Extensive experience in increasing profitable sales revenue within a defined Global customer base.
- Complete understanding of profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Ability to manager both internal and external sales resources to achieve a cohesive sales structure within a global account customer base.
- Strong written (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and oral communication skills.
- Holds a great appreciation and understanding of the global macro-economic landscape.
Essential Functions
- Build long-term Sales strategy for specific customers in alignment with our vision, mission, and values
- Clearly define of our competitive advantage and value proposition for global customers
- Establishes and strengthens customer relationships, including the identification of focus products with a drive toward profitable growth and customer satisfaction
- Responsible for attaining/exceeding the annual Sales plan (revenue, profit, and bookings)
- Identify product line expansion opportunities and work with engineering and manufacturing to integrate with our technology roadmap
- Manage our manufacturer representative firm’s specific to global account site locations.
Organizational Responsibility
The global account manager position provides a strategic sales responsibility for managing critical Tech-Etch key global customers, which includes management of customer, internal resources, and manufacturer’s reps.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Travel
Domestic travel with some international travel equaling 15% - 20% of his/her time.
Education
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering, finance, business administration, or marketing
