Summary
The IT support technician will assist computer users with the operation/repair of systems and other technical equipment.
The IT Support Technician provides technical assistance to users by troubleshooting, configuring, testing, and upgrading computer software and hardware, with the ability to communicate with a variety of users. Working as part of the IT Team, the IT Support Technician seeks to ensure that the uptime and performance of the computers meet the needs of the users.
Essential Functions
- Assume first-level support of help desk calls.
- Install and configure software and hardware.
- Set up company workstations, laptops, and tablets.
- Maintain hardware/software asset management system.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages with users.
- Upgrade computer systems with new releases and models.
- Develop expertise to train users on new technologies.
Competencies
- Candidate will have practical knowledge of and experience with desktop support, remote support software
- Specific areas of expertise include Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, TeamViewer Remote Support, Cylance end-point protection, Epicor ERP, and Audio/Visual.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn technologies and products; interacts well with users.
- Good analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
- High level problem-solving skills.
- Must be dependable and flexible, when necessary, with the ability to work extra hours, if required.
- Strong time management skills with attention to details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Travel
Occasional travel to the Fall River facility is expected for this position to support both offices.
Required Education And Experience
- Two to five years ofIT technical/help desk experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Professional certifications required, such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position on-site. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
