We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Capital Sourcing Specialist (level II, III, or IV). This position will be located in Rolla, MO.
Summary:
Capital Sourcing Specialists are responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and services. Capital Sourcing Specialists will collaborate with internal stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong supplier relationships to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Capital Sourcing Specialist II:
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers for raw materials, chemicals, and services.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality, reliability, and financial stability.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of qualified suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Address issues and conflicts with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
- Analyze costs associated with procurement of materials and services.
- Develop and manage budgets for assigned categories.
- Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with business needs.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
- Provide project guidance on established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support the implementation of global capital strategies and collaborate with category leaders, team members and peers to create synergies and maximize results.
- Actively participate in team meetings and establish periodic meetings with key stakeholders in the sites to align priorities within the sourcing team areas of responsibility.
- Analyze vendor RFPs and contracts to identify variances and cost-saving proposals.
- Leverage tools for strategic sourcing and manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
- Conduct initial market research and develop vendor profiles for selection.
- Report quality, cost, and schedule impacts to manage project risks.
- Support global capital strategies and collaborate with category leaders to maximize results.
- Identify, assess, and manage relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable conditions for the company.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic sourcing plans.
- Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs and contract management.
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards while developing cost reduction initiative
Capital Sourcing Specialist III:
- Same duties as Capital Sourcing Specialist II .
- Additional duties as Capital Sourcing Specialist III.
- Act as the primary contact for project teams to enhance partnerships and drive key performance metrics in supply chain planning.
- Manage interactions between project teams and supply chain sourcing resources for effective project delivery.
- Assist in developing procurement plans, including material supply, contract planning, logistics, and delivery dates.
- Address escalated issues and ensure resolution is communicated to both project and supply chain support teams.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost savings and supply chain resilience.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate supplier performance.
- Work with suppliers to address issues, drive continuous improvement, and align with quality standards.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
Capital Sourcing Specialist IV:
- Same duties as Capital Sourcing Specialist III.
- Additional duties as Capital Sourcing Specialist IV:
- Lead sourcing for capital design and construction projects, focusing on quality, budget, and schedule.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key raw materials, chemicals, and services.
- Continuously analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers for a reliable supply chain.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews, addressing issues promptly.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers for favorable pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts to ensure compliance with policies and legal standards.
- Identify and assess supply chain risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to optimize spending and identify cost reduction areas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage procurement budgets.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand their sourcing needs and requirements.
- Communicate regularly with team members and leadership on sourcing activities and challenges.
Education & Credentials: - Capital Sourcing Specialist II:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics or related field and 2+ years’ experience in related field or
- 3+ years’ experience in ERP system
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Capital Sourcing Specialist III:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics or related field and 4+ years’ experience in related field and
- 5+ years’ experience in ERP system
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Capital Sourcing Specialist IV:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics or related field and 6+ years’ experience in related field and
- 7+ years’ experience in ERP system
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
